Saint Petersburg (or just Piter) - is the second largest city in Russia and one of the most beautiful city in Europe. Population is near 5 million of inhabitants. City is situated on the banks of Neva river, at the head of Finland' Gulf, the Baltic sea. Saint Petersburg is also called as Russian Second Capital (before the Revolution it was the capital of Russia).
Saint Petersburg has an underground (metro), 5 train stations (rail terminals), International airport, sea ports on Baltic sea and on Neva river. Best time to visit the second Russian capital would be May-June and September-October.
